This is the thought that came to my mind after my recent visit to the capital of the Himalayan kingdom after a decade had passed since my prior visit. The devastating earthquake and the political upheavals had not lessened the ‘awe’ effect that the place has on visitors. Starting from the traditional welcome at Tribhuwan international airport till the farewell dinner it was an enchanting experience. The major landmarks of Kathmandu, Pashupati Nath Temple and the Swayambhunath Stupa are both robust places which are with no doubt an anthropology hub. Global students for their excursion in Dooars It was one of the most memorable and unforgettable weeks for the students of American School of Dubai (ASD) when they participated in a weeklong excursion programme at Dooars region of West Bengal. 28 participants including 04 teachers from USA, Saudi Arab, Australia, India, France, Canada, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Malaysia, Pakistan and Britain were participated in the excursion during 21 to 27 February’08 at Rajabhatkhawa under Buxa Tiger Reserve. During the stay in the region they did trekking, rappelling, water activities, jungle safari and volunteering also. On 21 st of February they arrived at Rajabhatkhawa Jungle Lodge via Bagdogra airport at late evening.
