Global students for their excursion in Dooars It was one of the most memorable and unforgettable weeks for the students of American School of Dubai (ASD) when they participated in a weeklong excursion programme at Dooars region of West Bengal. 28 participants including 04 teachers from USA, Saudi Arab, Australia, India, France, Canada, Afghanistan, New Zealand, Malaysia, Pakistan and Britain were participated in the excursion during 21 to 27 February’08 at Rajabhatkhawa under Buxa Tiger Reserve. During the stay in the region they did trekking, rappelling, water activities, jungle safari and volunteering also. On 21 st of February they arrived at Rajabhatkhawa Jungle Lodge via Bagdogra airport at late evening. MY MYANMAR DIARY

My Myanmar Diary 11 June, I landed at Yangon International Airport at 08.30 am with a mission to explore Myanmar ( Burma ) with our Singaporean friends. This was my first exploration trip to this golden pagoda land. Our local Burmese guide Mr. Htike Htke was waiting for us at the Airport. Singaporean group headed by Mr. Siva Gopal landed at 09.20 am. After their arrival we were transferred to Park Royal Hotel at Yangon . Checked-in took time because of rush in the hotel. After check-in we started our visit to the attractions in & around Yangon . We visited the Sule Pagoda which is almost 2000 years old, the down town area which is surrounded by old building of colonial architectural design, National Museum which has a wide collection of historical & cultural artifacts relating to the cultural heritage of Myanmar. MOUNT KANG YETZE CLIMBED!

At the summit of the peak The Indo-American friendship mountaineering expedition to peak Kang Yetze (6200m) which is situated in Ladakh Himalayas was successful.  The team member summitteed the peak on 11th August and hoisted the friendship flags of two countries.
